Less Government, More Individual Responsibility

Most politicians, yea most people in general just don’t get it! “It” being the fact that the government is not supposed to be a savior of the people. When we take the time to look at the Constitution, it’s purpose is to limit government, not to expand it and strengthen it’s power over the governed. The ninth and tenth amendments are a good example of this:
Amendment IX
Rights retained by the People
The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Amendment X
States' rights
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

When originally written and adopted, after many revisions, our Constitution was designed to put in place a LIMITED form of government, adequate for the purposes for which it was intended.

Preamble to the Constitution of the United States

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Right now we are way short on Domestic Tranquility and since 1913 the Promotion of the General Welfare [State] has taken on a whole new meaning. We know from life experience that imposed regulations bring about opposition every time. There is an old saying, “If you give them and inch, they’ll take a mile.” That is certainly what has happened with our US government. Over the years there has been an insidious creep of more and more governance into every area of our lives. At one time in my memorable past I recall being able to perform most if not all of life’s basic tasks without government regulation or risk of reprisal. I was governed by as set of basic laws which required me to act responsibly [The practice of Personal Responsibility] and when I did so there were no repercussions. Not so today!

The dastardly tentacles of Big Government now intrude into virtually every facet of our human lives on a daily basis. Thanks to the complacency and complicity of “We the People…”, the in-creep of Big Government has now caused our nation to devolve from a glorious Constitutional Republic to a Fabian Socialist Oligarchy. NOW is the time for “We the Sheeple “ to wake up and come to the “TeaParty”. Don’t waste time kicking yourself for what you woulda, coulda, shoulda done in the past,,, IT IS A NEW DAY! This is not a time to play partisan politics, it is the time to get involved in the affairs of our Nation as never before. When asked (and you will be) why you waited until now instead of acting eight years ago, be honest. Tell them that the economy was not as bad and you were sitting back, fat and happy.
Just tell them “I HAVE FINALLY HAD ENOUGH!” Tell everyone that you are finally ready to practice the Individual Responsibility that has been called for through the ages. Tell them that you are tired of Big Government getting bigger and bigger to the point of taking away your every freedom and you hard earned dollars. Tell them that you are tired of stupid government financial policies that have bankrupted our country and wiped out millions of jobs.
Tell them that you are now standing up for America under a banner which reads…
Less Government, More Individual Responsibility and with God’s help, a better World!

"We the People" was a virtual place-marker in history for our forefathers. They demanded and fought for the rights of individuals. Our contemporary politicians have reverted to the historical trends of government: a growing concern with the interest of the government at the center of their actions, not the focus on the individual. We again must demand and fight for our individual rights. Let us not lose the grasp of our nation by sitting back on our haunches. Stand up. Unite against the growing cancer that our government has become.
